Expanded Definition

The seed to a pretty perfect society. A designated space of land where a community lives — self-sufficient, customisable, uninterrupted by overseers.

The seed to a pretty perfect society. The Grid is a designated space of land that a community of people live within, upheld by advanced sustainable technologies to provide humans with a high standard of self-sufficient living.

Grids are designed with specific standards in mind, to boost the quality of the earth and of the human life lived on it. But they are entirely customisable in reflection of their communities. People sign up to communities they want to live with, follow their shared ways of life, and are uninterrupted by overseers: no governments, no businesses, no gangsters, no Karen down the road.

There must, of course, be a few overarching, common-sense rules that all Grids follow and that everyone polices, or no society can exist in peace. Those rules form the Basic Law. The thin non-negotiable floor beneath every Grid.

Above that floor, the Grid is yours.
